Initial Valve Preventative Maintenance in Well Acquisition
We’ve officially kicked off an Initial Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program for an operator's newly acquired wells. By addressing equipment health now, we shift from reactive "emergency" fixes to a strategic, scheduled workflow. The Maintenance Scope Our team is performing a comprehensive "physical" for every wellhead to ensure operational readiness: Valve Lubrication & Testing: We are lubricating valves in both the body and bonnet, followed by full-cycle function testing to ensure smooth operation. Fitting Restoration: Any plugged lubrication fittings are being repaired or replaced on the spot to maintain long-term serviceability. Leak Mitigation: We are meticulously checking for stem leaks and performing immediate repairs where necessary. Strategic Reporting: Any significant valve issues are documented and reported to the operator immediately. Why It Matters This proactive approach eliminates the "surprise" factor. By identifying internal wear or mechanical failures today, we avoid costly delays during future workovers or routine operations. The Goal: Move the needle from emergency repairs to planned, efficient maintenance—protecting both our assets and our bottom line.
